Why this journal matters¶
Recognition is easy: a phrase may look familiar immediately after you read it. Retrieval is harder: can you reproduce and apply the idea with the text hidden? Writing before checking the answer key reveals gaps that rereading alone can conceal.
Suggested review schedule¶
Review Day 1 briefly on Days 3 and 7. Review Days 2–4 on Day 7. One week after finishing, try explaining the core cycle without notes. Spaced retrieval is more informative than repeated passive reading.
