Glossary¶

Agency: The ability to make choices and take actions within real constraints.
Attention: Selective processing of information; what we attend to affects what we notice, but does not magically create external events.
Conscious creation: A spiritual term used here as a metaphor for deliberate choices, reflection, and action.
Feedback loop: A cycle of action, observation, learning, and adjustment.
Implementation intention: An “if situation X occurs, then I will do Y” plan.
Law of Attraction: A spiritual teaching that similar thoughts or energies attract corresponding experiences; this causal claim lacks reliable scientific evidence.
Manifestation: In spiritual usage, bringing desired outcomes into reality through intention or energetic alignment; in this course, also a label for practical intention-setting exercises.
Mental contrasting: Comparing a desired future with the real obstacle that currently prevents it.
Process visualization: Imagining the steps and difficulties involved in performing an action, rather than imagining only the final reward.
